7 Pumpkin-Tastic Fall Recipes

Nothing says “Autumn” quite like the return of all things PUMPKIN!

When cooking with pumpkin, make sure to choose a pumpkin that’s intended for cooking! Field pumpkins, the kind most commonly used for jack-o’-lanterns, have watery, stringy flesh and are not recommended for eating. Sugar pumpkins and cheese pumpkins are two widely available varieties that are good for cooking and baking. For any of these pumpkin recipes: you can cook and puree your own pumpkin, or you can use canned pumpkin from the supermarket, just make sure the can says ‘pure pumpkin puree’ and not ‘pumpkin pie filling’.
