Whenever you’re in a pinch and don’t know what to bring to work social functions, potlucks, or dinner at a friend’s, this apple-toffee dip is a great go-to. Not only is it ridiculously simple to make, but it’s also absolutely delicious! The one problem I found? It’s gone so fast that you don’t have time for a second taste.
I think this is the right way to eat apples, don’t you? It’s the perfect combination of sweet and salty, and you can make it look really fancy if you’re going to have company over. Eating this yummy dip while reading a book or watching TV is also advisable.
Ingredients You’ll Need:
1 block cream cheese, room temperature
1/2 cup powdered sugar
4 tablespoons caramel sauce
3 Skor candy bars, crushed
3-4 Granny Smith apples
How to Make It:
Blend the softened cream cheese with the sugar using an electric mixer. If it’s too thick, add a tiny bit of milk. Next, find a large plate or platter and spread the cream cheese mixture on it. Cover that layer with caramel sauce, and top with the crushed Skor or toffee chocolate bars.
Slice the apples and fan them around the plate like flower petals, if desired. If you’re taking the dish to a gathering, either slice the apples later or brush them with lemon juice to prevent browning. Enjoy!
